POWDERMONKEY

An enduringly popular yacht, POWDERMONKEY has recently undergone a comprehensive refit in preparation for the 2014 season. The yacht is named in honour of the owner’s ancestor who was a powdermonkey on Lord Nelson’s ship HMS Victory, at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1806. The powdermonkey had the dangerous job of bringing gunpowder from the ship’s magazine to the gun deck.
