Cabrera National Park is an archipelogo of some 19 islands of which the main island is that of Cabrera. The Park is located to the South East of Mallorca - some 10 kms south  of Colonia San Jordi. Cabrera is a restricted zone of great natural interest due to the wide variety of wildlife and fauna. There are 50 buoys available for anchorage in the large enclosed bay - Puerto de Cabrera. Access to cabrera by boat requires a permit issued by the Cabrera National Park Office in Palma ( see below). Popular tourist excursions are operated primarily from Colonia San Jordi. Attractions on the island include a 14th century castle which affords excellent views across the harbour / main bay. A tourist information centre and bar are located alongside the main quay from which walks can be enjoyed southwards to the main beaches. Cabrera is charaterised by crystal clear waters and an abundance of large fish.
