Palma's 25th International Boat Show closed its doors on
Sunday with visitor figures and turnover well up on last year.
During the 9 days the event was open a total of 48,000
visited the event.....
Over 500 companies participated.................
320 new boats and yachts were on show in the floating
exhibition area whilst an additional 1,200 were exhibited on the hard.

Azimut boats, the leading Italian builder will be exhibited
in strength by Global Marine and Opal Marine, the latter a new company formed
specifically to look after English speaking Azimut clients in the Balearics.
Models from both the ground breaking 'S' sport series and the award-winning
flybridge range will be on show. The 43S with IPS drives, the super sleek 62S
(boat of the year 2007) and the three cabin 68S from the sport range will be
complemented by the 55, 62 and 75 foot flybridge models.
The Azimut stand will be an all new affair this year too with
all the boats grouped together in the centre of the show.
To celebrate their continuing success with the Azimut and Bennetti brands and
the opening of the new Opal Marine office on the Paseo Maritimo, Azimut will

power yachts and three sailing yachts on display at Palma 2008. The
sailing yachts range from 10.71 m to 13.25m including the new Bavaria 40
Cruiser. This yacht will be presented for the first time in the water in
Palma. It received it's worldwide premier
in
January at the “boot” in Düsseldorf/Germany and it's debut in Spain at the
Madrid Boat Show in March. Motor yachts on display include the Bavaria 33
Sport ( 10.40m ) and the Bavaria 37 Sport ( 11.95m ).

Johnson 77 and Johnson 105:
European Premiere in
Majorca
Palma
de Majorca, 7th of April 2008 – The first two examples of the
new models Johnson 77 and Johnson 105 have arrived in Palma de Majorca.
The company Avantgarde Yachts, official distributors for Johnson Yachts on
the European market, will present the two superyachts to a broader public
and celebrate their official European premiere during the international
boat show “Salón Náutico de Palma“ held in Majorca between the 26th
of April and the 4th of May. The Johnson 105 will be the
largest yacht displayed in show.
With the Johnson 77
and 105 the Taiwanese shipyard Johnson, one of the few yards that only
build yachts for its own proper brand, completes its actual range that
started with the Johnson 87. All three yachts have been designed by the
renowned English naval architect Bill Dixon and combine European yachting
design with the precision and experience of far east ship building
tradition.
The two superyachts
that now arrived in Majorca are flybridge versions (also available as
skylounge versions with a closed fly) and are displayed as follows: The
Johnson 77 features four double cabins with en-suite bathrooms and, with
it’s own separate entrance, crew quarters for 2 crew with it’s own
bathroom. The Johnson 105 has four double cabins with en-suite bathrooms
on the lower deck and totally separate crew quarters for four persons with
two bathrooms on the lower deck. A fifth cabin – the spectacular master
stateroom with fantastic views and a spacious bathroom – is situated on
the foreship of the main deck.

The fourth model and

Confirmed that Palma Boat Show 2008 will have an
additional 25 moorings ( up to 345 from 320 for 2007 ). Total Show area
will be up by 1,200 M2 to 52,100 M2. The configuration of the Boat Show
will be similar to last year but the main entrance and press offices will
be moved South West ( towards the travel lift ) to release more area for
exhibitors. |

Johnson superyachts to premiere at Salon Nautico de Palma
The first two examples of the new Johnson 77 and Johnson 105 models will
arrive in Palma de Majorca this spring. Imperial Motor Yachts, UK agents
for Johnson Yachts in conjunction with Avantgarde Yachts Johnson European
