Sanlorenzo, the Italian shipyard focused on the production of tailor-made motoryachts, will exhibit at the Palma International Boat Show 4 models from its range: the SL62 (18,90 m), the SL72 (22 m), the SL88 (27 m) and the SL100 (29,10 m). For exactly 50 years, 1958-2008, Sanlorenzo’s building philosophy has always been based on customization, maximum quality and attention to the client’s needs. The result is that there is not a Sanlorenzo equal to another one. This construction philosophy focuses on the Ship owner’s requirements and not only onto the overall market where, today, the product’s industrialization produces in just 1 year the number of yachts that Sanlorenzo has produced in 50 years of history. Today Sanlorenzo, 6th Shipyard in the world ranking of the Top Builders (Global Build Report 2008), represents one of the last and truest expression of exclusivity, a world apart worldwide known as the ‘Atelier of the Yachting Industry’ Made in Italy. Sanlorenzo is based on two shipyards: the Ameglia Division, for the production of GRP planing motoryachts ranging between 62 and 108 feet, and the new Viareggio Division, for the production of navettas in composite material with semi-displacement hull up (92 and 122 feet) and superyachts in metal (aluminium and steel), from 38 to 50 metres. With its managing director Kurt Lehmann Sanlorenzo Baleari is responsible for Spain, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Sanlorenzo Baleari is not only selling new Sanlorenzo Yachts and second hand Yachts but is offering a complete service for its clients including all the handling with the shipyard, search of moorings and a full after-sales-service. Sanlorenzo Adria In April 2008 Sanlorenzo Adria has been opened in Marina Dalmatia, Sukosan near Zadar, under the management of Kurt Lehmann for the markets Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia and Montenegro. The SL62 recently received the “Croatia Boat Show Trophy” from Yachts Magazine as best new view on the Boat Show 2008.
Sanlorenzo go ahead with its renewal policy combined with tradition and presents the SL72, a model that represents a great classic for the shipyard, through innovations intended to enhance the appeal and modernity of a yacht indisputably traceable to the Sanlorenzo fleet. The outer layout update is reflected in the large crystal windows flush with the bulwark, the softened lines of the flying bridge and no side air intakes.. The yacht has a light, harmonious profile with a timeless elegance pertaining to top quality products far removed from ephemeral fashion. The internal layout has just a few "unalterable" elements – only those subjected to bottom or structural limitations. For the rest, the layout is shaped to the needs of the end user. On board on each Sanlorenzo, the design’s distinctive details reflect the owner from the interior layout to the choice of woods, furniture design and finish, fabrics, leathers and marbles… Very much in keeping with the elegance found in a fine custom home. The exhibited SL72 on Palma International Boat Show 2008 is completely equipped by FENDI by the concept of designer Stephanie Haupt from Munich. The SL72 is a 22m motor yacht, designed to comfortably accommodate up to eight guests plus two crew members. The main salon contains a convenient living area and a dining zone. Whether the decor, the wide windows let in plenty of light resulting in a very bright room. Thanks to the high degree of customization, the Owner can choose any arrangement, shape, color of furnishings or materials he/she likes, thus creating the most comfortable and agreeable environment. Three engine versions are offered on the SL72: MAN V12 - 1360, MAN V12 - 1550 or 2 MTU 10V2000M93 developing 1390 HP and 1520 HP respectively. The expected speed is 30 knots at half-load. Nevertheless, such excellent speed performance is not the main appealing feature of this yacht since – as any Sanlorenzo model - comfort under way and seakeeping prevail over sprint. Sanlorenzo SL88 In the restyling operation of the entire fleet of Sanlorenzo, the SL88 model, a 27 metres motoryacht has been accurately renewed in some of the styling details together with updated technological systems. The final result is of great impact. The external layout of the SL88 is characterised by classic lines, with a compact but sharp profile interrupted by large windows which externally lighten the profile as well as allowing plenty of light into the main deck rooms. Internally the space has been distributed to optimize the living areas: rigid lines have been softened by some “rounding” details and a lot of care has been put into the use of light and the manufacturing of the wooden walls and furniture. Thanks to a great use of space and to a highly professional planning, the SL88 appears even bigger. The exhibited SL88 on Palma International Boat Show 2008 is completely equipped by FENDI by the concept of designer Stephanie Haupt from Munich. As well as the interior design and styling solutions, SL shipyard emphasises the combination of comfort and performances of the SL88, which comes with 2 Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines à 1415 kw which allow a 28 knot top speed or 2 MTU 16V 2000 M92 engines à 1630 kw which allow a top speed of 30 knots.
